Building Engagement: Phil Triantafillou, May 10th
Are you struggling with your obedience at the park? Do you have a new pup and want to learn how to develop them so they choose you over the environment? Are you competing in a dog sport discipline and struggling with your dog’s attitude and building duration in the work?
Engagement is an attitude, it is the art of building a genuine relationship so your dog wants to be with you and do activities with you. It starts with having a very clear understanding of what a dog is and what they love to do; a process of working with your dog’s innate drives. Learn how to build your dog, how to interact with your dog in a manner that always leaves them wanting more and create genuine fulfilment when interacting with you.
Phil is the President of Schutzhund Australia. He has competed and won State Championships and the Australian National IPO Championship. Phil successfully trained a handler and dog team to represent Australia at the World Championships in 2007.
Dog Spots: We have a limit of 6 dog spots (by application only once you have purchased a non-refundable auditor spot). If you are interested in a dog spot please email through your dog’s behavioural history, their current training level and your behavioural goals in an email application to us after you have purchased your ticket.
It is important that we have a range of dogs with varied behavioural responses for the workshop. With this being the case you may not be selected if your dog presents the same behaviour as another dog attending. The purpose of dog spots is to demonstrate Phil’s practices and how they work across a range of varied dog types.
Our team will need to sight proof of a current C5 vaccination (or equivalent) prior to attending the seminar. Please also ensure your dogs are up to date with their worming/flea/tick treatments.
